APS Supports Airport Operations in Asean Para Games 2022 activities
BOYOLALI – Ahead of the Asean Paragames event, the athletes and officials were observed starting to land through Adi Soemarmo International Airport, Boyolali, since Monday (25/7/2022). Three Parking Stands have been prepared by PT Angkasa Pura I to accommodate aircraft landings from each country’s contingent.
It was observed on Tuesday (26/7/2022) that it arrived early at 09.10 WIB. Followed by the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Cambodia and Timor Leste. While Laos has landed on Monday and Brunei Darussalam is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, Wednesday (27/7/2022).
Andi Zulfikar as Branch Manager of PT Angkasa Pura Suport said that to anticipate the surge in passengers, he had ensured the addition of personnel in the field so that every need during the arrival process of the entire Asean Para Games contingent could be accommodated.
Angkasa Pura Supports as a provider of airport services continues to monitor operational officers such as facility care services, the alertness of all technicians in monitoring airport operational systems, X-rays, giant walls, to the flow of vehicles in the land side area.
The Mayor of Surakarta, who also serves as Chair of the Indonesia ASEAN Para Games Organizing Committee (INASPOC), Gibran Rakabuming was also present to review the activities of the arrival of the athletes.
Previously, a simulation of the arrival of APG participants had been held at Adi Soemarmo Airport on Monday (25/7/2022). This simulation directly by the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora), Zainudin Amali, Chairman of INASPOC, Gibran Rakabuming and was guided directly by the Director of Operations of PT Angkasa Pura I, Wendo Asrul Rose.
The simulation was carried out to ensure that Angkasa Pura was ready to receive the arrival of the Asean Para Games contingent so that the flow of passengers from getting off the plane until their departure to the hotel could take place in an orderly and timely manner. They also hoped that the condition of the airport was always good and clean.
Andi believes that every Angkasa Pura Supports personnel are always ready to provide the best service. He also added that each officer had been plotted according to their respective posts. He also hopes that with this event, APS will be better known in a wider scope, especially since this is an international event.
